FaMed

The medical students’ association of the University of Fribourg, FaMed for short, represents the interests and concerns of the students of the medical faculty. Every medical student is a member by enrolment and thus entitled to actively participate in the actions of the association. The fields of action and projects/organisations are numerous.

FaMed-events include the Mediball, a soccer tournament, the Welcome Bowling or the legendary Medifondue, just to name a few. In addition, you can get involved in an affair of the heart to one of many projects: Marrow, Teddy Bear Hospital, Doctors&Death, Clash and Young Sonographers.

On the university level, we as Famed are entitled for political posts that allow us a seat and/or say in the discussion about our education and organisation of our studies.

On a national level, we are represented by swimsa (Swiss Medical Students‘ Association), whereby our student body can send representatives to the respective Assembly of Delegates (DV).
