Une com\u00e9die d\u00e9jant\u00e9e destin\u00e9e \u00e0 tous les publics.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p>C\u2019est en premi\u00e8re mondiale que le r\u00e9alisateur belge Sam Garbarski a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 son nouveau long m\u00e9trage \u00ab\u00a0Vijai and I\u00a0\u00bb jeudi soir au Festival du film de Locarno. L\u2019auteur d\u2019<em>Irina Palm <\/em>et du <em>Tango des Rashevski<\/em> signe une com\u00e9die bien ficel\u00e9e destin\u00e9e \u00e0 un large public.<\/p>\n<p>La trame ne manque pas de piquant. Will (Moritz Bleibtreu), acteur talentueux frustr\u00e9 par une carri\u00e8re en berne, ne trouve plus aucune motivation dans sa vie professionnelle et familiale. Quand sa voiture est vol\u00e9e et d\u00e9truite dans un accident spectaculaire, tout son entourage le croit mort. Avec son ami Rad (Danny Pudi), il se travestit alors en Vijai Singh, un \u00e9l\u00e9gant Sikh. Si \u00e9l\u00e9gant que la veuve pr\u00e9sum\u00e9e de Will, Julia (Patricia Arquette), ne tarde pas \u00e0 en tomber amoureuse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bel imbroglio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La confusion qui s\u2019ensuit est prodigieuse. V\u00e9ritable festival de grimaces, le film ne d\u00e9daigne ni le comique de situation, ni les bons mots. Le jeu souverain de Moritz Bleibtreu et de Danny Pudi soutient l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019intrigue, les personnages secondaires se r\u00e9v\u00e9lant relativement effac\u00e9s. Et les spectateurs ont eu le plaisir de mesurer le charisme des deux hommes en live lors de la courte introduction au long-m\u00e9trage, un authentique exercice de <em>Stand-Up Comedy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Initialement pr\u00e9vue sur la Piazza Grande, la projection a d\u00fb \u00eatre d\u00e9plac\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019Auditorium Fevi de Locarno en raison du mauvais temps. Qu\u2019\u00e0 cela ne tienne, l\u2019adh\u00e9sion du public fut unanime jeudi soir.
